A grand total of $124,644 was raised by Mrs. Fauzia Kasuri, Chairperson International Fundraising for the Imran Khan Foundation

A grand total of $124,644 was raised by Mrs. Fauzia Kasuri, Chairperson International Fundraising for the Imran Khan Foundation,  in Charlotte, North Carolina on Dec 18, 2010.

She had been invited by the Islamic Society of Greater Charlotte at a fund raising function for the flood relief. The dinner was held at the Community Center in Charlotte and attended by nearly 300 people. The President of the ISGC, Khalid Choudhary and his wife Tehmina welcomed Mrs. Kasuri to the Center and introduced her to the Executive Committee.

After the introductory speeches, Mrs. Fauzia Kasuri spoke about the Imran Khan Foundation and the work that it is doing for the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the flood affected. A video presentation of the IKF was made by her and a question and answer session was held to address the concerns of the contributors.

Mrs. Kasuri assured the donors that every bit of their donations will be used for the purpose for which it is being given. She appreciated the role and interest that overseas Pakistanis happily play whenever there is a need in Pakistan.Questions were also asked about Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf. Mrs. Kasuri thanked the guests for inviting her and assured them that Imran Khan is very grateful for their support and is the politician who will bring a genuine and positive change in the politics of Pakistan.

A cashier’s check of $114,644 was presented to Mrs. Kasuri by the executive committee of ISGC, along with a copy of another $10,000 sent directly by mail to the IKF office in California.
